Robert Soens brings more than twenty years of contracting and building experience to Pinnacle Custom Builders, Inc.  During his career, Robert has led projects that span the commercial, institutional, and residential scope of construction.

After studying computer systems and accounting at Georgia State University and working as a computer consultant for small businesses, Robert took a job as a construction project manager and oversaw various federal government renovation projects.  In 1987 he founded Robert Soens, Inc., and over the next ten years built and renovated a variety of federal government and commercial buildings requiring advanced technical expertise.  His projects include computer centers, surgical facilities and radiation labs, a US Marshalls’ jail facility, the FBI regional headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina, and an air traffic control tower at the airport in Asheville, North Carolina.

In 1996, Robert founded Pinnacle Custom Builders, Inc. and put his experience in commercial construction to work in the residential building industry.  Robert merged both firms into Pinnacle Custom Builders, Inc. in 2001, and in addition to commercial work over the past ten years has produced custom homes, restored historic residences, and remodeled houses in the Atlanta metropolitan area, including rebuilding 23 homes in Dunwoody damaged by tornados in the Spring of 1997.

Robert is committed to the community and involved in many volunteer efforts.  He oversaw the redevelopment of the Scottish Rite Hospital in the city of Decatur, has contributed a number of construction services to Hands On Atlanta, and in 2002 was responsible for starting the city of Decatur’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Weekend.

Robert Soens serves on the executive committee of the Inner Atlanta Chapter of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and co-chairs the U.S. Green Building Council's Residential Green Committee.
